Schumer Plays The ‘Nonpartisan Card’

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Senate Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Patty Murray (D-WA) issued a saying that “avoiding a government shutdown requires bipartisanship, not a bill drawn up by one party.”

Schumer is pissed because the House GOP has attached a voter ID element to the continued funding of the federal government. It requires proof of citizenship for someone to register to vote, thus protecting the ballot box from non-citizen voters.

Of course, this should be a no-brainer, and it should be a bipartisan effort. But when one party is invested in Marxism and the fundamental transformation of the Republic -- doing so by importing millions of illegal immigrants into the country and turning a blind eye to that demographic voting -- it becomes impossible for an honest elected official to embrace compromise.

A bipartisan bill cannot be negotiated because one party -- the Democrat Party -- is willing to allow criminal activity by non-citizens, all to protect their grasp on power.

The GOP must stand firm on this because it is the right thing to do, both legally and constitutionally. If the government "shuts down," that will be on Schumer, Murray, and the Democrats. And Republicans, Libertarians, and Independents -- and honest Democrats -- should make sure everyone knows it.
